Your questions, answered.

How long is Baruntse Expedition?

The published duration for Baruntse Expedition is 38 days. Review the day-by-day itinerary for travel, activity and rest days before arranging your flights.

Is summit success guaranteed?

No. Weather, route conditions, altitude, health, avalanche risk, team readiness and other mountain hazards can prevent a summit attempt even when logistics are fully in place.

What insurance is required?

Insurance must cover the expedition’s maximum altitude and climbing activity, including emergency medical treatment, high-altitude helicopter evacuation where available, repatriation and trip interruption.

What technical experience is required?

Requirements depend on the mountain. We review your climbing CV before acceptance. For technical or 8,000-metre objectives, previous high-altitude and technical mountaineering experience is essential.

What oxygen and high-altitude support is included?

Supplemental oxygen, regulator systems, mask allocation and climbing Sherpa ratios vary by expedition package. These are confirmed clearly in the final quotation and expedition agreement.

What are the deposit and permit deadlines?

Expeditions involve non-refundable government, permit and supplier costs. Deposit, balance, cancellation and transfer terms are stated in the final expedition agreement before payment.
