This policy explains how Adventures with Altitude Expedition, Nayabazar, Kathmandu, Nepal, collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information connected with this website and our travel services.
Information we collect
We may collect names, contact details, nationality, travel preferences, booking and payment records, passport or permit information, emergency contacts, insurance information, health or dietary information voluntarily supplied for trip safety, communications, uploaded documents, account details, and technical information such as device, browser and security logs.
How we use information
We use information to answer enquiries; prepare itineraries and quotations; administer bookings and payments; create and secure client accounts; arrange permits, accommodation, transport, guides and emergency support; issue invoices and service messages; prevent fraud; meet legal, tax and accounting obligations; and protect travellers and our services.
Who receives information
Adventures with Altitude Expedition manages booking requests and fulfills trekking, expedition, guiding and ground operations. Information may be shared only as necessary with Supabase, Netlify, email providers, banks, insurers, government and permit authorities, hotels, airlines, transport operators, guides and other trip suppliers. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy obligations.
Payments
Payment arrangements are confirmed for your booking. If online card payment is offered, the payment provider handles card details through its checkout; this website does not store card numbers.
Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the booking, safety, legal, tax, dispute and recordkeeping purposes for which it was collected. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure. Flight booking records, including ticket references and cancellation status, are retained for invoice reconciliation and the purposes above. A specific automatic deletion period for travel identity details has not yet been set.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction or deletion of eligible personal information, withdraw optional marketing consent, or object to certain processing. Legal and operational records may need to be retained. Submit a request through the website’s contact form.
International transfers and children
Because travellers and service providers may be located in different countries, information may be processed across borders when necessary to arrange a journey. The booking account holder must be an adult. Information about minors should be supplied only by a parent or authorized guardian when required for a booking.
Cookies and browser storage
The website uses essential browser storage for account sign-in, security and remembering your cookie preference. The preference is saved on your device for six months under awa-cookie-preference. Engagement analytics are enabled only with your permission. Advertising trackers are not enabled. Open Cookie settings in the footer to review your preference. Clearing browser storage removes the saved choice and may sign you out.
Changes
We may update this policy when the website or our services change. Material changes to optional tracking will request a new cookie preference.
Admin and supplier dashboards store pending update-notification references on the current device so email requests can retry after a connection interruption. These references are removed when the notification is queued. Only the signed-in account that made the change can retry its requests.
Optional engagement analytics
If you choose Allow analytics in Cookie settings, we record trip views, date selections, booking starts, completed booking requests and WhatsApp clicks in our hosting function logs. The event contains only an event type, public trip identifier and day; it does not contain names, emails, passport details, booking references or form contents. Hosting providers may maintain their own technical security logs. No advertising tracker is enabled. You can withdraw permission at any time by choosing Use essential only in Cookie settings.
