These terms apply to use of this website and bookings made with Adventures with Altitude Expedition. Adventures with Altitude Expedition, Nayabazar, Kathmandu, Nepal, manages this website, booking requests and the trekking, expedition, guiding and ground operations in Nepal.
Booking and acceptance
A booking is confirmed only after AWA accepts it in writing and receives the required advance or full payment. Availability, itinerary and price remain subject to confirmation until then. The person making a group booking confirms that they are authorized to accept these terms for the travellers listed.
Prices and payment options
Unless a quotation states otherwise, prices are in US dollars. The website booking form saves your request and does not collect payment. AWA confirms availability and provides complete bank transfer instructions in writing. A 10% advance is required to confirm your place once availability and receipt are verified. The remaining balance is due 30 days before departure; bookings made within 30 days require full payment. Any different payment schedule must be agreed in your accepted written quotation.
Accommodation and room pricing
Published package prices include twin-share accommodation unless the quotation states otherwise. Two travellers selecting twin share pay the normal per-person package price. A solo traveller may accept twin-share pairing where offered without a single supplement. A requested single room adds the displayed single supplement for each traveller requesting one and remains subject to availability and final written confirmation. If AWA cannot confirm a paid single-room request, the related supplement will be refunded or credited.
Traveller responsibilities
Travellers must provide accurate information, hold valid passports, visas, permits and required insurance, follow safety instructions, disclose information reasonably relevant to safe participation, and arrive with suitable fitness and equipment. Travel insurance should cover the activity and maximum altitude, medical treatment, evacuation, repatriation, cancellation and interruption.
Mountain and itinerary changes
Mountain travel involves weather, altitude, road, flight, health, political and natural hazards. AWA may reasonably alter routes, dates, transport, accommodation, staff or services to protect safety or respond to circumstances beyond its control. Summit achievement, specific views and uninterrupted transport cannot be guaranteed.
Third-party services
Airlines, hotels, transport operators, insurers and other independent suppliers may apply their own terms. AWA remains responsible for the travel services it directly agrees to provide, subject to applicable law, but is not responsible for an independent supplier’s acts beyond AWA’s reasonable control.
Cancellation and refunds
The Refund & Cancellation Policy forms part of these terms. Non-refundable permit, government, payment-processing and supplier costs may be deducted where described in that policy or an accepted quotation.
Website and accounts
Users must provide accurate details and protect their login credentials. Website content may not be copied or commercially reused without permission. AWA may suspend access affected by fraud, misuse or security risk.
Liability and applicable rights
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, AWA is not liable for indirect or consequential loss or events outside its reasonable control. Any specific signed booking or expedition agreement takes priority over these general website terms where inconsistent.
Contact and complaints
Please raise concerns promptly through the website’s contact form so the team has an opportunity to resolve them.
