The sequence below is the planned Everest Base Camp Trek route. Daily movement can change with weather, trail access and the group. Your written itinerary confirms transport, rooms and the operating arrangements.
Meet our team for the airport transfer and settle into your Kathmandu room. Review the Everest Base Camp Trek route, equipment and transport arrangements before setting off.
Fly to Lukla, then follow the Dudh Koshi valley to Phakding. Flight departure airport depends on the operating schedule.
Continue through Monjo before the sustained climb to Namche Bazaar. The trail leads to the main Sherpa town of the Khumbu. Leave time to rest after the climb into the village and check the next stage with your guide.
Keep the same overnight base and take a guide-led local walk only as appropriate. Use the afternoon to rest and review readiness for the next stage of Everest Base Camp Trek.
Follow the hillside trail, descend to the river and climb through woodland to Tengboche. Visit the monastery area when it is open, allowing space for worshippers. This is a chance to see village life alongside the mountain trail.
Pass Pangboche and continue into the more open landscape around Dingboche. The village is an important pause before the higher Khumbu. Keep the evening quiet and review how you are feeling before continuing.
Keep the same overnight base and take a guide-led local walk only as appropriate. Use the afternoon to rest and review readiness for the next stage of Everest Base Camp Trek.
Continue above the valley toward Lobuche, keeping a measured walking pace. Continue into the upper Khumbu and prepare for the next high-altitude stage. Lodges are simple here, with limited facilities compared with the lower villages.
Reach Gorak Shep, walk to Everest Base Camp and return to Gorak Shep for the night. The last lodge settlement on the base-camp approach is a practical place to leave overnight luggage. Return here after the Everest Base Camp visit.
If conditions allow, visit Kala Patthar before descending to Pheriche. Descend to this lower village for the night after the high point of the route. The change of pace gives time to rest before the return walk.
Retrace the valley trail toward Namche Bazaar. The trail leads to the main Sherpa town of the Khumbu. Leave time to rest after the climb into the village and check the next stage with your guide.
Continue down the valley and return to Lukla. Return to the trail’s air gateway and prepare your bags for the flight. The flight schedule remains dependent on mountain weather.
Fly back to Kathmandu when weather and operations permit. Allow additional time before an international connection.
Complete the final Everest Base Camp Trek arrangements and transfer for your onward journey. Keep international connections separate from weather-sensitive mountain flights and allow any recommended buffer nights.
